Queensland Office of Liquor, Gambling, and Racing (OLGR)

This official Queensland government body is concerned with promoting the balance between the social benefits of legalised gambling, and the potential detrimental effects that gambling can have on certain individuals.  

The organisation provides educational material to those persons involved in the industry either as professionals or players. It also provides research grants for academics and others interested in pursuing research into the field. The Queensland office is also devoted to working with the gambling industry in an effort to promote an atmosphere of cooperation rather than confrontation.
