Interactive Gaming Council (IGC)
An international organisation that works to safeguard the interests of players and online gambling operators.
The Interactive Gaming Council (IGC) is a charitable association that provides a collective voice for the online gambling industry. The organisation faces the challenges and opportunities that confront online gamblers and casino operators.
The IGC mission statement is to enforce a consistently high level of fairness, accountability, and integrity amongst its members. IGC members are duty bound to conform to the advertising principles, codes of behaviour, and responsible gambling standards of the countries where they live.
In addition to its role of standard bearer, the organisation also provides a forum for conflict resolution where its members accede to the authority of the prevailing licensing body. Where a licensing body does not exist, the parties in dispute agree in advance to accept IGC arbitration as a means to resolving any crisis.
